The listed Austrian plant construction group Andritz AG has, through its German holding Andritz Deutschland Beteiligungs GmbH, taken over the German KMPT AG, a leading provider of special centrifuges with subsidiaries in the USA, the UK, France, Italy and China. The Noerr partners, Dr. Alexander Hirsch (corporate) and Dr. Alexander Birnstiel (cartel law), advised Andritz and coordinated the international cooperation with partner law firms in all jurisdictions affected. Confidentiality about the purchase price was agreed.
KMPT AG, which emerged from the process technology division of the German industrial group Krauss Maffei AG, achieved turnover las year of approx. 70 million Euro with approx. 280 employees. Andritz, one of the largest listed Austrian companies, has more than 13,000 employees worldwide. Its most recent annual turnover was approx. 3.2 billion Euro.
Noerr has advised Andritz for many years in several transactions per year and in group and corporate matters.
