A further M&A expert has joined the Düsseldorf Noerr team. Corporate lawyer Dr. Jens Liese (35) joins the team on 1 September 2010. Liese comes from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Düsseldorf where he was a Principal Associate. At Noerr LLP, he joins as an Associated Partner a level corresponding to that of Salary Partner in Anglo-American law firms and preliminary to equity partnership.

Of approx. 450 lawyers at Noerr, almost 160 in the Corporate Department advise on demanding company, share and group law structural issues, company reorganisation and restructuring and on national and cross-border transactions. Clients include listed groups from all continents, Private Equity funds and international banks as well as many well-known family companies and their shareholders.
Liese is a specialist in M&A transactions. He participated in advising Linde AG in the public takeover of the industrial gases manufacturer BOC plc and MAN AG in the sale of MAN Roland AG. He already had contact with Noerr in the course of the sale of Ratiopharm to the Israeli Teva, when he was a member of the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP team which conducted the sales process. A Frankfurt Noerr team advised the holding company VEM and the trustee appointed by the creditor banks on the restructuring of the Merckle Group and acted in the background in the capital increase and share placing with HeidelbergCement AG and dealt with the Ratiopharm sale.
