This week's highlight: Energy Efficient Buildings

The Permanent Representatives Committee of the Council confirmed the political agreement reached between the co-legislators on the revised directive on the energy performance of buildings. The text now needs to be formally adopted by the European Parliament and endorsed by the Council. The new directive will promote the use of smart technologies in buildings, streamlining existing rules.
