Corporate/M&A specialist Benedikt Vogt to join Noerr as associated partner

Benedikt Vogt (36), a corporate lawyer who specialises in advising on mergers and acquisitions, is joining Noerr at its Dusseldorf office, where he will strengthen the firm’s Corporate/M&A practice group as an associated partner.

"Our new colleague has advised a number of major companies on complex transactions over the past seven years. He will enrich our corporate law practice from the very beginning, both professionally and personally".

Mr Vogt studied law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, where he also obtained a doctorate with his dissertation on foundations and endowments law. His gained his first professional experience at the US firm Shearman & Sterling in Dusseldorf, before joining the US firm Latham & Watkins in 2013.

At Latham & Watkins, Benedikt Vogt not only advised on public and private M&A and joint venture transactions, including for E.ON, Henkel and Tengelmann, but also advised global private equity firms such as Hellman Friedman and Blackstone, investment management companies as Canada Pension Plan Investment Board as well as industrial companies such as Hyundai Motors. He also has extensive experience in the area of directors' and officers' liability and in dealing with shareholder activists.

Noerr has been advising clients on complex corporate law issues and major transactions for 70 years. Today, the firm handles around 300 large and medium-sized deals per year, including acquisitions, public takeovers, reorganisations and restructurings including divestments.
