Focus on corporate litigation – Sophia Habbe joins Noerr
The international law firm Noerr is further expanding its advisory services and is now implementing its full-service approach at its Frankfurt office in the area of litigation as well. Dr. Sophia Habbe, a distinguished expert in corporate litigation, is joining Noerr as an Associated Partner as of 1 March. Habbe is moving from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
With this new hire Noerr is responding to the continued rising demand. “Particularly in Frankfurt, banks and financial services providers need the entire range of our services in the field of litigation”, says Dr. Oliver Sieg, co-head of the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration & ADR Group. “With her main focus on corporate litigation, Ms. Habbe perfectly complements our consultancy portfolio.”
Noerr’s market-leading Litigation Group has already established teams for banking and for transnational litigation and arbitration at its Frankfurt office. Furthermore, by gaining Dr. Lars Kutzner as a new partner at the firm as of 16 February, Noerr has now established tax and white-collar crime law expertise at its Frankfurt office as well – expertise which has so far been concentrated mainly at the firm’s Munich office.
“The arrival of these two new experts not only benefits our Frankfurt clients who will be able to use our full litigation services directly at this location. We are also improving our Noerr-wide consultancy services”, stresses Oliver Sieg, who advises clients from the firm’s Düsseldorf office and will work closely with Sophia Habbe. A central focus of Sophia Habbe’s work will be on corporate law disputes, working with the experts of Noerr’s Capital Markets Group, as well as on cases with an international background. “The strong position of Noerr’s Litigation Group on the market, the clear growth prospects in this area, as well as the firm’s multi-disciplinary approach persuaded me to move to Noerr”, says Sophia Habbe.
