Noerr advises Chinese group Weichai Power on takeover of Aradex AG

Noerr has advised Weichai Power Co., Ltd. on the strategic takeover of Aradex AG, which is headquartered in the southwest German state of Baden-Württemberg. Weichai Power, one of China’s largest vehicle and power system conglomerates, is acquiring an 80 per cent stake in the target company.

Aradex AG has in recent years transformed from a developer and manufacturer of industrial drive systems into a supplier of electric drive technology systems in the commercial vehicles sector. Its product portfolio includes inverters, DC/DC converters and electric motors. As part of the Weichai Group, Aradex will in future pursue a global growth target. Both partners will collaborate closely on developing new drive solutions for commercial vehicles with renewable energy sources.
