Noerr advises confectionery group Toms on developing new urban complex in Bremen

Noerr has advised the Danish confectionery group Toms on the agreement with the City of Bremen to jointly develop what is known as the ‘Hachez site’ in the town’s ‘Neustadt’ district. Together, the partners aim to transform Hachez’s 1.1-hectare site formerly consisting of production facilities and offices into an appealing new urban complex.
Alongside various kinds of residential uses, urban production, public and cultural space concepts, the commercial space could lead to the creation of 500 new jobs on the site. Hachez’s approximately 70 employees in Bremen now have their new place of work on the site of the Bremen Tobacco Quarter. Hanseatische Chocoladen Kontor, which owns the Hachez and Feodora brands, has been part of the Toms Group since 2012.
