Noerr advises “die Bayerische” on sale of insurtech sum.cumo to Sapiens

Noerr has advised the insurance group “die Bayerische” (BBV Holding AG) on the sale of sum.cumo GmbH, a technology provider with business operations in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region specialising in digital solutions mainly for the insurance industry.

Buyer is Sapiens International Corporation, an Israel-based and NASDAQ-listedglobal provider of software solutions for insurers. With the takeover of sum.cumo Sapiens aims to strengthen its presence in the DACH region. Over 150 technology and insurance specialists work for sum.cumo at offices in Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Zurich.

A Noerr team led by Michael Brellochs and Robert Korndörfer advised “die Bayerische” on the transaction. Noerr already advised the insurance group on the acquisition of sum.cumo GmbH.
