A Noerr team has advised the founders of Infratech Bau GmbH on the sale of a majority stake in their company to financial investor H.I.G. Europe. The founders will remain managing directors of Infratech and will continue to hold a significant share in the company.

Founded by Gregor Klaßen und Andreas Muchall in 2007, Infratech is one of the leading infrastructure companies providing civil engineering works for optical fibre networks. Infratech builds complex FTTH networks on behalf of public and private German operators, has a well-established and reliable network of partners, and has grown significantly over recent years. FTTH is an attractive market with significant growth opportunities, driven by the German government’s ambition to provide high-speed internet access to the majority of German households over the coming years. A Noerr team lead by Hamburg-based Corporate partners Jan-Philipp Meier and Christoph Spiering advised the founders in connection with the sale process and on structuring the cooperation with H.I.G. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The completion of the transaction is subject to the usual approvals from the authorities.
