Noerr advises Netzkontor on investment in broadband companies

With a team led by Holger H. Ebersberger, Noerr has once again assisted a portfolio company of DBAG Expansion Capital Fund advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in a strategic acquisition. This was the first time Noerr has acted for Netzkontor Group GmbH, which acquired stakes in a total of six enterprises by way of a buy and build strategy.

Netzkontor specialises in services related to planning and monitoring the construction of fibre optic networks and via its subsidiary OpenXS offers network management for fibre optic network operators. Like Netzkontor, the target companies are active in broadband communications and cover the entire value chain from planning, installation and maintenance to technical support for end customers. Netzkontor has acquired stakes in the following companies: SSF Telekommunikations-Management GmbH, BKE Breitband-Kabel-Eilservice Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung, TKS Telekommunikation und Service GmbH, TKM Tele Kommunikations Montagen GmbH, UniNetCom GmbH, and FKT-Berlin GmbH - Fernmelde- und Kabeltiefbau.

Private equity expert Holger H. Ebersberger and his team have already advised DBAG Expansion Capital Fund and its portfolio enterprises several times in the past on investments in the broadband communications industry. This includes the takeover of Danish DKT A/S with subsidiaries in Germany, Sweden and Hong Kong, of ANEDIS GmbH from Berlin, and of Holm GmbH from Hamburg by BTV Multimedia GmbH. A team led by Holger Ebersberger also provided advice on DBAG Expansion Capital Fund’s investments in the BTV Group as well as in Sjølund A/S.
