Noerr advises on sale of Kunze Folien to Aavid

Noerr has advised on the sale of Kunze Folien GmbH to a strategic investor. The company which is based in Oberhaching near Munich is taken over by the U.S. Aavid  Group. A Noerr team led by the Frankfurt corporate partner Dr. Thorsten Reinhard acted on the side of the sole shareholder and company founder Burkhard Kunze.

Kunze Folien specialises in heat-conducting interface materials and films used in the dissipation of heat of electronic components. The takeover by Aavid, one of the world’s leading providers of heat management solutions and heat sinks in the electronics industry, is intended to develop new markets for the company’s products.

Aavid Corporation is a portfolio entity of the private equity investor Audax Group.
