Noerr advises Postbeamtenkrankenkasse (PBeaKK) on IT Outsourcing to T-Systems

13.02.2014

The law firm Noerr advised the Postbeamtenkrankenkasse (Civil Service Health Insurance Fund) on the comprehensive outsourcing of its IT to T-Systems. The Postbeamtenkrankenkasse is  a social institution of the former Deutsche Bundespost and caters for over 500,000 civil servants and co-insured.

The operation of the IT by T-Systems is initially agreed for five years. By the outsourcing, PBeaKK has succeeded in unifying the previously diversified supplier IT structure in a single provider and thereby achieving a considerable  improvement in provider administration. The Noerr team comprehensively adviced the Krankenkasse and in the course of the case both structured the outsourcing agreement and conducted the contract negotiations. In addition, the team also advised the PBeaKK on the procurement aspects and reviewed the project under compliance aspects – including data protection and social law.

Noerr is among the leading international law firms in IT law with a strong focus on IT Outsourcing.  Only recently, the law firm advised Finanz Informatik (FI), the  IT service provider to the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, on the outsourcing of the IT of the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg to FI.
