Noerr advises SSVP III funds advised by Orlando on sale of the Oetinger Group

Noerr has advised private equity funds advised by Orlando Management AG on the sale of the Oetinger Aluminium Group to a financial investor, with a team led by private equity partner Georg Schneider. Oetinger was acquired by MTC OE GmbH, which is held by Metal Trade Comax, a Czech company specialising in coated sheet metal.

Oetinger is a leading supplier of aluminium casting alloys whose workforce of 300 produces around 180,000 tonnes of alloys a year at its plants in Weißenhorn and Neu-Ulm. The company is a key supplier to the automotive industry. The SSVP III funds acquired the insolvent business operations of the present Oetinger Group in 2013 from insolvency administrator Frank Kebekus. Noerr also has advised the acquiring company in this transaction.
