Noerr has advised the Oddo Group on the acquisition of Meriten Investment Management GmbH. With assets of EUR 40 bn under management, Oddo Meriten Asset Management will be one of the biggest independent investment managers in the eurozone.

The seller is the BNY Mellon Investment Management group. With its nearly 180 employees and managing assets of roughly EUR 24.5 bn, Dusseldorf- based Meriten Investment Management is one of the leading special fund providers. Its clients include institutional investors, savings banks, corporate clients, insurance companies and pension funds.

The acquisition procedure was assisted by a Noerr team led by Frankfurt partner Dr. Thorsten Reinhard. Noerr’s role also included providing merger control advice.
