Noerr advises the Postbeamtenkrankenkasse on central IT systems renewal

01.12.2015

Noerr has advised the Postbeamtenkrankenkasse (Civil Service Health Insurance Fund) on a complex IT tender as a result of which the IT service provider innovas has been awarded the contract for the renewal of the central IT system with which the PBeaKK processes its entire insurance payments.

With a volume in tens of millions, this is the central IT project of the Postbeamtenkrankenkasse for the coming years.

The Postbeamtenkrankenkasse, a social institution of the former Deutsche Bundespost, insures over 500,000 persons.

The Noerr team led by the Munich partner and IT lawyer Dr. Thomas Thalhofer advised the Postbeamtenkrankenkasse comprehensively. The experts of the law firm provided support in the drafting and negotiation of the contract and also advised on questions of procurement and data protection law. The Postbeamtenkrankenkasse once again relied on the services of Noerr in a complex IT transaction just as it did last year in the outsourcing of the IT infrastructure to T-Systems.

Noerr is one of the leading international law firms in IT law. This year Noerr has already advised, inter alia, Deutsche Telekom AG on the sale of the online platform t-online.de and the Swedish QMATIC on a strategic takeover on the German market.
