Noerr advises the Volartus Group on the acquisition of HeliService international GmbH

16.06.2016

Noerr has advised the Volartus Group on its purchase of HeliService international GmbH. Noerr acted for the Volartus Group with a team led by the Munich corporate partners Dr. Tobias Koppmann and Dr. Florian Becker.

With a workforce of over 60, HeliService international GmbH operates a helicopter transport service for persons and cargo. Since 2004, HeliService has been performing helicopter transports for the Alfred Wegener Institute on the research vessel POLARSTERN in the Arctic and Antarctica. Benefitting from the erection of offshore wind parks in the North Sea, HeliService has established itself as one of the leading providers of personnel transport services to wind power plants and transformer stations, and of hoist operations.

To continue the successful course of growth, the founder and managing shareholder Eberhard Herr has decided to take the Volartus Group on board as an investor. The transaction volume is confidential.
