Noerr advises Turkish company OTI Holding on takeover of a tour operator

Noerr has advised OTI Holding A.S. on its entry into the German travel market. The Turkish holding company operating in the tourism sector is taking over tour operator Ferien Touristik from venture capital company Media Ventures GmbH, headquartered in Cologne.

Companies from various areas of the tourism industry operate under the umbrella of OTI Holding, including hotel chains and tour operators. With brands such as coral travel, the group is one of the leading travel companies in Russia and other markets in Eastern and Central Europe and will also act as an agent for holidays on the German market for the first time after the takeover. The tour operator being acquired, which services close to 150,000 customers a year, offers package holidays to more than 100 destinations on all the major travel websites and in more than 8,000 travel agencies.
