Noerr advises US group Platform Specialty Products on takeover in billions

The international law firm Noerr advised the US group Platform Specialty Products Corporation (Platform) on the acquisition of the agro-chemical division of Chemtura Corporation. Platform now announces the closing of the transaction.

The purchase price of one billion US dollars is comprised of a cash component (950 million dollars) and two million ordinary shares in Platform.

Noerr acted as Local Counsel for the German, Russian and Ukrainian aspects of the transaction. The work of the integrated advisory team led by corporate partners Dr. Tibor Fedke, Dr. Hans Radau and the REACH specialist Martin Ahlhaus, included regulatory, distribution and employment law issues in addition to corporate advice and questions of REACH certification. The US law firm GreenbergTraurig was the international leader.
