Noerr Advises VR Equitypartner and BayernLB Private Equity on Sale of GHM Group to GENUI

07.12.2021

A Noerr team led by Martin Neuhaus has advised investment companies VR Equitypartner and BayernLB Private Equity on the sale of their shares in measurement and control technology specialist GHM Group. The shares held by VR Equitypartner and Bayern LB Private Equity are acquired by German investment company GENUI.

The GHM Group is internationally active in the field of industrial sensors and electronics, environmental measurement technology and mobile measurement devices. GHM Group has own production sites in Germany and Italy and is globally active through sales companies and commercial agents. VR Equitypartner and BayernLB Private Equity acquired their stakes in GHM Group in 2013. Since then, both investors pursued a successful buy-and-build strategy with two add-on transactions in Italy and have further developed GHM with a focus on profitable growth.

VR Equitypartner currently holds investments in around 60 companies through various instruments and is among the leading equity financiers in the German-speaking countries (DACH region). The investment company’s goal is to support SMEs in strategically solving complex financing issues. Under the leadership of Martin Neuhaus, Noerr already advised VR Equitypartner earlier this year on the sale of its stake in the Dr. Neuberger Group to Temelio.
