Noerr assists EMERAM with strategic takeovers in submetering services sector

02.09.2021

Noerr, under the team leadership of Munich-based Private Equity partner Christoph Thiermann, has assisted the investment company EMERAM with the strategic acquisition of two submetering services providers as part of its buy and build strategy. Officium GmbH, one of EMERAM’s portfolio companies, is the buyer.

Officium is acquiring Systeme & Service Abrechnungsgesellschaft mbH and Delta-t Messdienst Fischer und Nagel GmbH as succession solution. With the acquisitions Officium increases the number of managed units by more than 50% and opens up new geographical regions.

Officium was established in late 2020 as part of the takeover of Tenié und Gores GmbH, a leading independent submetering service provider for the metering and billing of water and heat for the housing sector, and acts as the parent company implementing a buy & build strategy in the submetering services sector. EMERAM previously relied on advice from a Noerr team led by Christoph Thiermann for the takeover of Tenié und Gores.
