Noerr partners occupy top positions in Wirtschaftswoche’s corporate and employment law survey

Seven Noerr partners have made it to the lawyer lists “The Best Corporate Law Experts” and “The Best Employment Law Experts” published by the Wirtschaftswoche magazine in its latest issue. With five entries, the law firm is ranked third for corporate law.

The list of best corporate law experts includes Tobias Bürgers (Munich), Alexander Hirsch, Jens Liese (both Düsseldorf), Christian Pleister (Frankfurt/Berlin) and Thorsten Reinhard (Frankfurt), partners from four of the firm’s offices. Andreas Butz (Düsseldorf) and Hans-Christoph Schimmelpfennig (Munich) are also included in the list of best employment law experts.

In corporate law, Noerr’s broad-based corporate/M&A practice is one of the top addresses in the market and regularly advises many German corporations and financial investors. This is also reflected in the result: Of the 54 law firms listed among the best corporate law experts, only two besides Noerr are represented by at least five lawyers. “This very good result in the Wirtschaftswoche survey is a real team effort and at the same time great individual recognition for our excellent colleagues,” emphasises Florian Becker, who heads the practice together with Alexander Hirsch. “We were only able to achieve this high number of entries - most of whom are partners under the age of 50 - together and with the support of all colleagues from the other practice groups.”

Andreas Butz, head of Noerr’s Employment & Pensions practice, also emphasises the importance of the team for the entries in the list of best employment law experts: “Also on behalf of Hans-Christoph Schimmelpfennig, I would like to thank the entire employment law team for their great support.” Employment law is of outstanding significance to Noerr. The lawyers of the practice group advise clients comprehensively in complex employment law matters as well as in the context of transactions.

Handelsblatt Research Institute interviewed more than 4,000 lawyers from 245 law firms for the lists of best employment and corporate law experts. A jury of experts then selected 54 law firms and 86 especially recommended lawyers from these lists.
