Noerr strengthens Real Estate Investment Group - Tim Behrens moves to Frankfurt office

26.02.2021

Noerr is strengthening its Real Estate Investment practice group (REIG) with a lateral from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer: Tim Behrens will be joining Noerr as associated partner at the Frankfurt office on 1 March 2021.

Tim Behrens has extensive experience and expertise in assisting international and national real estate investors  in complex national and cross-border real estate transactions. His expertise also covers real estate financing issues.

“With his range of advice, Tim Behrens is an excellent fit for our interdisciplinary approach and strengthens the already traditionally close cooperation with our Banking & Finance practice group,” emphasised Alexander Jänecke, real estate partner and head of Noerr’s Frankfurt office.

With Tim Behrens, Noerr seeks to expand its pool of specialists in commercial real estate law, particularly at the banking hub Frankfurt.

“We are delighted about this addition,” said Annette Pospich, head of Noerr’s Real Estate Investment practice, adding: “The sustainable success of our practice is not only thanks to our advisory approach, which combines expertise from all disciplines of law and across all Noerr offices, but also to a strong and dynamic next generation of advisors.”

In building up this next generation, Noerr is also relying primarily on growth from within its own ranks. At the turn of the year, Clemens Schönemann (REIG Berlin) was appointed equity partner and Manuel Lomb (REIG Munich) was appointed associated partner from Noerr’s Real Estate Investment practice group. From its Banking & Finance practice group, Dorian Legel was promoted to associated partner in the area of real estate financing. Together with new entry Tim Behrens, the number of equity partners in real estate law at Noerr will climb to 15 and the number of its associated partners will increase from 7 to 10.

In the real estate sector, Noerr offers a unique advisory portfolio with its Real Estate In-vestment Group (REIG) led by Annette Pospich. The practice group is made up of more than 60 experts from all disciplines relevant to the real estate industry and has continuously expanded its market share in recent years with its interdisciplinary approach.
