Effective 15 August 2015, Noerr has admitted the renowned telecommunications and technology law expert Dr. Tobias Bosch into the partnership as an Equity Partner. Tobias Bosch was partner at K&L Gates. He is strengthening Noerr’s Telecommunications Practice Group at the Berlin office. Together with Tobias Bosch, Dr. Torsten Kraul and Julian von Lucius have joined Noerr as an Associated Partner and as a Senior Associate, respectively.
With the addition of Tobias Bosch and his team, Noerr is in particular responding to the continuously increasing need for legal services in the field of telecommunications regulation. “The digital transformation of businesses is massively increasing the demand for legal advice in technology-driven and regulatory areas”, says Dr. Alexander Ritvay, co-speaker of Noerr. “With Tobias Bosch joining our firm, we are able to further advance our specialisation in these strategic growth areas, while at the same time expanding our leading position in the telecommunications and technology sector.”
Tobias Bosch advises major national and international businesses and corporate groups on telecommunications and technology law issues and handles regulatory proceedings. In addition, he regularly advises clients in cases also involving media law, which is another important focus of Noerr’s services. “Tobias Bosch’s move strengthens both our telecommunications law expertise as well as our integrated consultancy services”, comments Dr. Tobias Frevert, head of Noerr’s Telecommunications Practice Group. “In addition to regulatory consultancy in telecommunications law, our market-leading expertise in technical transactions, IT outsourcing and e-commerce projects is also further strengthened by this addition. This allows our practice groups to continue to dovetail their know-how.”
Together with Tobias Bosch, also Dr. Torsten Kraul (1 December 2015) and Julian von Lucius have moved to Noerr. Kraul joins Noerr as an Associated Partner. He specialises in advising telecommunications and technology businesses as well as publishing houses, particularly on digital media issues. His expertise is also regularly in demand in the context of transactions.
Tobias Bosch comments on his move to Noerr as follows: “Telecommunications, media and technology businesses are facing major challenges: while rapid technological change requires massive investments in new business models, the regulatory framework is limiting opportunities for economic advancement. In this environment, high-end legal advice requires an interdisciplinary team able to open up new fields of activity for businesses by providing with tailored solutions. Noerr really sets the pace in this area and like hardly any other law firm is actively shaping the transformation of the telecommunications, technology and media markets.”
Noerr is one of the leading law firms for telecommunications, media and technology (TMT). Its integrated consultancy services are characterised above all by its interdisciplinary industry expertise. Companies profit from the advisors’ long-standing and excellent industry experience both in the classical TMT sector as well as in antitrust and competition law, in corporate transactions and restructurings as well as in the fields of conflict resolution, distribution, IP and IT, as well as tax planning.
