WirtschaftsWoche: Noerr partners feature in lists of best IT and data protection lawyers
The German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche has listed three partners from the law firm Noerr as being among the top IT and data protection lawyers: Peter Bräutigam and Thomas Thalhofer have made it into the list of “most prestigious IT lawyers” and Daniel Rücker into the list of “most prestigious data protection lawyers”.
Peter Bräutigam and Thomas Thalhofer, who co-head the Digital Business practice group at Noerr, have been among the leading specialist IT lawyers for years. Both of them assist national and international companies and corporations in the digital transformation of their business models. The same is true for Daniel Rücker, one of the most high-profile data protection experts on the market and head of Noerr’s Data Privacy practice group.
Partners from Noerr also feature in other lists of the best lawyers published by WirtschaftsWoche this year: Thomas Hoffmann and Christian Pleister (both Frankfurt/Berlin) are among Germany’s “most prestigious restructuring lawyers” and Christian Pleister is also listed as one of the top corporate lawyers alongside Tobias Bürgers (Munich), Alexander Hirsch, Jens Liese (both Düsseldorf) and Thorsten Reinhard (Frankfurt). Jens Liese is also named as one of the best M&A lawyers, whereas Andreas Butz (Düsseldorf) and Hans-Christoph Schimmelpfennig (Munich) are listed for employment, Fabian Badtke (Frankfurt) and Alexander Birnstiel (Munich) for antitrust and competition and Christian Pelz and Martin Schorn for Compliance.
The Handelsblatt Research Institute questioned more than 830 lawyers from 107 law firms when compiling the list of best lawyers. A jury of experts filtered out 36 law firms with 50 highly recommended IT lawyers and 29 law firms with 35 highly recommended data protection lawyers.
