WirtschaftsWoche ranks six Noerr partners as most respected M&A and antitrust and competition lawyers

German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche (WiWo), which is part of the Handelsblatt Media Group, has recognised six partners from Noerr as top lawyers.

Jens Liese (Düsseldorf) and Christian Pleister (Berlin), who were awarded the title of most respected corporate lawyers by WiWo just three weeks ago, were able to repeat this success in the category Mergers & Acquisitions.

Apart from this, four partners from Noerr were singled out as top antitrust and competition lawyers: Kathrin Westermann (Berlin), Alexander Birnstiel (Munich), Fabian Badtke (Frankfurt) and Till Steinvorth (Hamburg).

The rankings are based on a study carried out by the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI). The HRI interviewed more than 4,000 antitrust and competition law specialists and M&A specialists from 213 law firms to find out who were their most respected counterparts. A jury of experts used the results to compile a list of the best 44 law firms in the field of antitrust and competition law, with 91 lawyers, and the best 54 law firms in the field of M&A, with 91 lawyers.
