Julia Sophia Habbe is a partner at Noerr’s Frankfurt office and heads the Compliance & Internal Investigations practice group together with Torsten Fett.
She has extensive experience in complex compliance regulatory and internal investigations and advises on process and crisis management after such investigations. Julia Sophia Habbe represents listed and family-owned companies and their management bodies in compliance cases, in particular in the area of their accountability and liability. Another focus of here work is advising on corporate and capital markets law issues, including handling legal disputes before supervisory authorities and courts.

Before joining Noerr LLP, Julia Sophia Habbe worked in the Frankfurt office of a leading international law firm in the areas of dispute resolution and core corporate. She also completed secondments in the legal and compliance department and with the litigation and regulatory enforcement team of two international banks in Frankfurt am Main.
Julia Sophia Habbe lectures at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University on the subject of negotiations (“female negotiation strategies”). She regularly publishes articles on involving corporate, capital markets and civil procedure law issues.

  • Commerzbank: Advising the supervisory board and investigating the responsibility of the management board members for penalty payments in the US
  • DAX 30 companies, including Deutsche Bahn: Conducting large-scale internal investigations
  • Regional bank: Advising the management board and investigating the responsibility of the supervisory board members in connection with the purchase of structured products
  • Capricorn Nürburgring: Representing the race track company in court against an events agency for claims arising from a festival collaboration
  • Initiators of closed funds: Representing the client in court and settlement negotiations in connection with legal action by investors; supporting over 120 proceedings in total; preparing and helping to conduct contentious general meetings
