Stefanie Gschossmann

Stefanie advises German and international clients on all aspects of German and European antitrust and competition law. This includes merger control proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission, cartel and abuse of dominant position proceedings as well as the private enforcement of cartel damages claims. Stefanie also advises on all aspects of European state aid law, in particular, the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. In addition, she represents clients with regard to foreign investment control (FDI) proceedings. Stefanie is a member of the Antitrust & Competition as well as the International Trade and Investment Controls practice group.

Projects

  • Regularly advising national and international private equity funds in the context of merger control proceedings (worldwide review of merger filing requirements and support in proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission)
  • Advising a German investment company with regard to phase 2 proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office
  • Examining worldwide FDI filing requirements and support in the corresponding proceedings before the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs for German and international clients
  • Representing several companies of the sugar processing industry in cartel damages proceedings against the members of the sugar cartel
  • Advising a private equity fund on state aid law related to the Covid 19 pandemic
  • Supporting a compliance audit at a major car manufacturer
