The Federal Republic of Germany has appointed Dr. Anke Meier, partner and lawyer in the Frankfurt office of the law firm Noerr, as a conciliator on the list of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes - ICSID. ICSID, based in Washington, belongs to the World Bank Group and provides facilities for conciliation and arbitration of international investment disputes.

Anke Meier, a German and U.S. qualified lawyer, focuses on international arbitration, international litigation and investment law. She represents companies from various industries in commercial arbitrations proceedings (including ICC, DIS). During the past years, she acted on behalf of various clients from the energy sector in post M&A cases and disputes on long-term supply agreements. Utilizing Noerr’s presence in Eastern-European countries Anke Meier often advises clients regarding investment protection and negotiation of investment contracts. She also advises major German companies in mass litigation in the U.S., in particular with respect to pre-trial discovery. Anke Meier also heads Noerr’s Transnational Litigation and Arbitration Group which combines more than 25 lawyers throughout the German and international offices.
