Noerr further expands its Intellectual Property Practice Group with the addition of Dr Christoph Rieken

22.04.2015

From 1 May, Noerr will be joined in Munich by the IP lawyer Dr Christoph Rieken. He comes from Ashurst where, as counsel, he was head of the IP practice and will join Noerr as an Associated Partner.

Christoph Rieken advises clients in Germany and abroad on all matters of intellectual property law and fair-trading law. In addition to out-of-court advice and the drafting of contracts, his activities also include representing clients in court, particularly in trademark, design, domain and fair-trading cases. Christoph Rieken also has many years of experience advising on a wide range of deal-related IP matters.

Dr Christiane Zedelius, Head of Noerr’s Practice Group ‘Intellectual Property: Trademarks & Patents’ is delighted about the new arrival: “Intellectual property is becoming more and more important for our clients. In Christoph Rieken we have gained a highly experienced lawyer with excellent know-how. Together we will continue to further expand our expertise in this important area.”

Christoph Rieken commented on his move saying, “Noerr is superbly positioned in IP and, as a full-service firm, provides an excellent environment for my clients and my talents. I am looking forward to helping to expand Noerr’s IP practice further.”

The Intellectual Property practice group will comprise 17 IP lawyers, including five partners, and ten trademark paralegals. Further expansion is planned.
