Noerr advises Commerz Real on acquiring a new residential complex in Jena from Quarterback Immobilien

A team from Noerr led by Annette Pospich has advised Commerz Real on its acquisition of a residential complex to be built in Jena for its open real estate fund Hausinvest. The seller is the project developer Quarterback Immobilien.

By 2024, 114 flats with total rented space of around 10,000 m² are to be completed in six buildings. Around 600 m² are intended for commercial use. Construction is set to begin in the third quarter of this year.

The acquisition was structured as a forward funding transaction. This means that Commerz Real initially acquires the construction site and then pays instalments towards the purchase price according to construction progress.
