Ilka H. Beimel specialises in national and international dispute resolution before arbitral tribunals and state courts. Ilka advises and represents clients on complex cross-border disputes, especially corporate, liability and commercial disputes. She has particular experience in handling disputes involving international sales law. Prior to joining Noerr, Ilka worked as a tribunal secretary in different arbitral proceedings. In this role and as a party representative, she gained experience in arbitration proceedings governed by DIS, CAM-CCBC, ICC, LCIA and VIAC Rules. Ilka is a member of various arbitration associations and a laureate of the DIS Sponsorship Award 2021/2022. She served as a rapporteur to the CISG Advisory Council and taught international sales and arbitration law at a Japanese university. She is involved in various other initiatives and is a co-founder of the regional dispute resolution initiative Rheinische Runde zur Streitbeilegung. Ilka regularly publishes and speaks on topical issues relating to arbitration and international sales law.
