Noerr advises Deutsche Beteiligungs AG on investment in Hausheld AG

02.10.2020

A Noerr team headed by Holger H. Ebersberger and Ariane Neubauer has advised Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) on its investment in Hausheld AG. The deal marks DBAG’s first investment as part of its expanded investment strategy, allowing DBAG to finance also long-term, mostly minority shareholdings.

Hausheld AG specialises in intelligent and networked metering systems for power generation and consumption. The company, which is headquartered in Mönchengladbach, Germany, offers full-service solutions for setting up a smart metering infrastructure and additionally provides the related metering services. Its customers include mostly municipal utilities. Hausheld’s full-service offering can also be transferred to other areas such as gas and water, where the same services are expected to be in demand in the future.

Holger H. Ebersberger and his team regularly advise DBAG and the funds advised by DBAG on their transactions and investments. This year, the team advised Netzkontor Group, a portfolio company of DBAG Expansion Capital Fund, which acquired six broadband communication companies by way of a buy and build strategy, as well as BTV Multimedia, which took over Austrian FIONIS GmbH earlier this year.

The transaction was overseen at DBAG by Dr Matthias Döll, Senior Legal Counsel.
