Noerr advises payment services provider Ingenico on joint venture with Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe

Noerr has advised Ingenico Group comprehensively on the establishment of a joint venture with DSV Group (Deutscher Sparkassenverlag) in the area of payment services. Ingenico and DSV have agreed to merge the DSV subsidiary BS PAYONE GmbH with Ingenico Payment Services GmbH. Ingenico will hold and control 52 per cent in the joint venture.

The new payment services provider will serve the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and, with its 330,000 acceptance points, will process an annual volume of EUR 125 billion. The objective of the long-term partnership is to become market leader for payment services in the DACH region.

Ingencio Group is world leader for integrated payment solutions across all payment channels. With over 8,000 employees, the group achieved turnover of around EUR 2.5 billion in 2017.

The closing is subject to the approval of the competent financial regulatory and antitrust authorities and is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2019.
