Vyacheslav (Slava) Yugai has joined Noerr as a local partner, strengthening the Corporate/M&A practice at the firm’s Moscow office. He previously worked for over 8 years for the Russian Lex Mundi law firm Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners (EPAM).

During his time at EPAM, Slava Yugai led a large number of sophisticated high-value transactions. He worked for Russian blue chip clients as well as for large foreign investors. In addition to being licensed to practise law in Russia, Slava Yugai is also qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales and New York attorney-at-law. In 2016 - 2017, he worked as a foreign attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen and Katz in New York.

“We are very pleased that with Slava Yugai we have been able to get a very active, internationally experienced transaction lawyer on board,” emphasises Christian Pleister, co-head of Noerr’s Private Equity practice. Björn Paulsen, partner in charge of Noerr’s Moscow office, adds: “Slava Yugai’s good contact to Russian companies combined with his international approach will allow us to expand our consulting portfolio in Moscow. This not only applies to the field of mergers and acquisitions in its narrow sense, but also to projects in other areas of legal practice.“

“Noerr is a top European law firm with an impressive track record,” says Slava Yugai. “I am delighted to be given a chance to contribute to the firm’s success.”

Noerr is one of the leading law firms for Corporate/M&A in Europe and has been present in Moscow with its own office for 25 years. As the largest German law firm in Moscow, it advises a large number of DAX 30 and Fortune 500 firms on their M&A and investment projects relating to Russia and CIS countries.
