Noerr advises on joint venture to establish an R&D centre

One of the world’s largest rail vehicle manufacturers, CRRC (China), is massively expanding its research and development (R&D) division and is focussing here on the establishment of R&D centres in Europe. A Noerr team advised the CRRC subsidiary CSR Qingdao Sifang Co. Ltd. on the incorporation of a joint venture for the establishment of an R&D centre for lightweight construction and new materials in Dresden.

The cooperation partner of CSR Qingdao Sifang Co. Ltd. is FutureTrans GmbH, a spin-off of the renowned Institute of Lightweight Construction and Plastics Technology (Institut für Leichtbau- und Kunststofftechnik) at Dresden Technical University.
