Noerr advises Spanish Flex Bedding Group on strategic acquisition in luxury segment

02.11.2022

With a team led by Berlin-based partner Dominik Rompza, Noerr has advised the Spanish Flex Bedding Group on a strategic acquisition in Germany. The internationally operating bedding manufacturer, a leader in the Spanish market, is taking over SCHRAMM Werkstätten GmbH, Germany’s leading manufacturer of luxury mattresses and beds.

With the acquisition, the Spanish Flex Group is strengthening its leading global position in the premium segment, which already contributes 40 percent to the group’s turnover. Flex currently employs over 2,000 people and has nine production sites worldwide. In addition to having its own trading offices in Asia and Europe, it has well-established retail networks in the UK, Spain and Portugal.

Flex intends to maintain SCHRAMM as an independent brand and develop it further.

Noerr’s interdisciplinary team advised the Flex Group extensively on all legal aspects of the acquisition. Noerr is a leading law firm for complex and cross-border transactions. The lead partner Dominik Rompza, together with partner Marlies Raschke, recently advised AURELIUS on the acquisition of two international dental supply companies, which involved numerous jurisdictions.
