Sven Betzendörfer is a lawyer in NOERR’s Brussels office. His practice covers all aspects of European and German antitrust and competition law, foreign direct investment (FDI) control, the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), and European State aid law. Sven specializes in complex cross-border merger control, FDI and FSR reviews. He also has significant experience representing clients in antitrust investigations and administrative fine proceedings, conducting internal investigations, and advising on antitrust-compliant structuring of distribution systems and cooperations.

- Representing a global automotive manufacturer in the European Commission’s cartel proceedings concerning end-of-life vehicle (ELV) recycling
- Representing Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. as part of a consortium on the EUR 3.5 billion acquisition of leading life insurance consolidator Viridium
- Representing global automotive Tier 1 supplier Lear Corporation in complex merger control proceedings before the European Commission and other antitrust authorities
- Representing KPS Capital Partners/Speira in the European Commission's conditional merger control clearance of the acquisition of Real Alloy Europe
