Julia Meggyes specialises in product regulatory law and product liability. She advises companies from a wide range of industries on product compliance requirements for the German and European markets and represents clients both in and out of court in contractual, liability and administrative disputes, as well as in proceedings before regulatory authorities. Her practice particularly includes advising on national and cross-border market measures, including the necessary communication with authorities, and providing legal support in relation to product risk assessments. She also advises on the drafting and negotiation of contracts with product-law implications and assists with M&A transactions from a product regulatory perspective. A particular focus of her work lies on product regulatory issues arising in connection with the AI Act, as well as matters relating to life sciences and health care, substance and chemicals law, including the resulting compliance and liability requirements for companies. Julia Meggyes is the author of numerous publications and regularly speaks at professional conferences on product regulatory and product liability topics.
