Climate protection
We take an integrated view of climate protection and will be carbon neutral by 2045.
Our ambitions when it comes to the environment:
We take an all-round approach to climate protection by taking steps to minimise our CO2 emissions, supporting the 1.5-degree target under the Paris Agreement.
This is why we have developed a climate strategy across all Noerr offices to reduce our ecological footprint. We have set ourselves the following milestones (based on SBTi*):
- medium term: reduce emissions by at least -42% of scope 1 + 2 emissions and -25% CO2e of scope 3 emissions by 2030 compared to base year 2023;
- long term: reduce our absolute scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by at least 90% by 2045 compared to base year 2023

Climate protection and energy consumption
Since we don’t have any production facilities, the greatest impact we can have in terms of environmental protection and climate action is our own energy consumption. We use 100 per cent green electricity in all our German offices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Employee mobility
We encourage our employees to keep business trips to a minimum and use video- and web conferencing instead. The technical equipment required is provided by us. If a business trip is unavoidable, we opt for trains rather than planes. Under our travel policy, employees should take the train wherever possible when travelling to destinations in Germany that are up to 4.5 hours away.
