Noerr LLP is strengthening its arbitration team by hiring an internationally experienced lawyer. Barbara Maucher is joining the firm’s Düsseldorf office in the position of ‘counsel’ on 15 May. She comes to Noerr from Baker Hostetler, where she was ‘counsel’ in the firm’s Washington office.

“With Barbara Maucher, we are gaining a colleague with a strong international focus who has lived and worked in the USA for the past twelve years,” says Anke Meier, co-head of Noerr’s Litigation, Arbitration & ADR practice, who leads the firm’s 18-strong arbitration team.

Ms Maucher has over 15 years of professional experience in major law firms and in particular represents clients from the energy sector in arbitration proceedings relating to commercial and investment disputes. “With this industry focus Barbara fits perfectly into the team,” emphasises Oliver Sieg, Düsseldorf-based partner and co-head of Noerr’s Litigation, Arbitration & ADR practice. In the energy sector, the firm’s experts regularly act for clients, both in arbitration proceedings and in proceedings before national courts.

Noerr is one of the leading law firms in the field of litigation. Its more than 130 litigation lawyers across Europe advise and represent clients in all forms of conflict resolution before national courts, in cross-border disputes in several jurisdictions, in arbitration proceedings as well as in alternative conflict resolution procedures (Alternative Dispute Resolution, ADR).
