Noerr advises Hamburger Energiewerke on buying land for 24/7 technology facility

20.08.2024

A Noerr team led by Tim Behrens and Valentina Glasa advised Hamburger Energiewerke on buying a brownfield site in Hamburg’s Moorfleet district. The 3-hectare site will play a major role in the transition to clean energy in Hamburg.

The Tiefstack combined heat and power plant is to be converted and replaced by 2030 to make way for various climate-friendly district heating facilities on the power plant site. To develop the planned Tiefstack energy park as a key driver of the transition to clean energy in Hamburg, Hamburger Energiewerke needs additional alternative sites suitable for industrial use to house the technical operating areas. The company has now been able to buy these by way of an asset deal.
