Noerr advises Wien Energie GmbH on acquisition of ImWind Group
A Noerr team led by Tibor Fedke and John Jun has worked with its Austrian partner firm E+H Rechtsanwälte GmbH to advise Austrian-based energy provider Wien Energie GmbH on its strategic acquisition of the ImWind Group. Wien Energie GmbH, which is a subsidiary of Vienna’s public utility company Stadtwerke Wien, is Austria’s largest regional energy provider.
The ImWind Group operates 52 wind turbines in 14 wind farms and four photovoltaic systems in Austria, Germany and Italy. Including its project pipeline, the group has wind energy and photovoltaics projects with an annual production capacity of more than 2 TWh.
An integrated team from Noerr’s Energy & Infrastructure practice group advised on the German law aspects of the transaction.
