Noerr expands its private equity practice with Markus A. Braun

Noerr’s private equity practice continues to grow. On 1 April, Markus A. Braun joined Noerr’s Munich office as an associated partner. He is joining us from Gleiss Lutz.

Markus Braun specialises in providing transactional advice in M&A and private equity, advising investors and corporates on all aspects of German and multijurisdictional transactions.

Markus Braun (36) studied law in Würzburg, Munich and Oxford. He has been working as a lawyer in Munich since 2016.

Noerr’s 50-member Private Equity practice group represents the interests of foreign and domestic financial investors, companies and management teams in cross-border large- and mid-cap transactions and on structuring their investments. Clients include private equity firms such as J.C. Flowers, KPS Capital, KKR, Apollo, EMERAM, Bregal Unternehmerkapital, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, DPE Deutsche Private Equity and Brookfields.

Recent instructions include advising financial investor Foresight on a major project worth billions concerning the production of green hydrogen, AUCTUS on the sale of PharmaLex to US pharmaceutical wholesaler AmerisourceBergen, KKR’s portfolio company Exact Group on the acquisition of weclapp SE, AEQUITA on the carve-out and acquisition of the electronic interfaces business of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, heycar on the investment of Renault Group, KPS Capital Partners on setting up Speira and its acquisitions of Real Alloy Group’s European business and Norsk Hydro’s rolling business.
