Noerr advises Bridgepoint and Wiggle on acquisition of Bike24

Noerr had advised Bridgepoint and its portfolio company WiggleCRC on a strategic investment in Germany. The world’s leading online bicycle retailer Wiggle is taking over Bike24 from the private equity fund Riverside.

Bike24 is an e-commerce platform for bicycles, sports equipment and clothing active in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The company, which is based in Dresden, was taken over in 2011 by Bridgepoint and is one of the fastest-growing online bicycle retailers in Europe.

The Noerr team led by Munich partner Georg Schneider advised Bridgepoint and WiggleCRC comprehensively on all German aspects of the transaction. Travers Smith advised on English law.
