Noerr advises BTV Multimedia Group on strategic takeover of STW Spleisstechnik West GmbH

A Noerr team led by our Munich-based private equity partner Holger Ebersberger has once again advised BTV Multimedia Group, a portfolio company of DBAG Expansion Capital Fund, which is advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, on a strategic takeover.

BTV Multimedia Group is taking over the Austrian company STW Spleisstechnik West with the aim of offering STW customers an even larger portfolio of services and efficiently implementing fibre-optic expansion projects of all sizes in cooperation with the new partner companies and a strong financial investor. In accordance with the corporate strategy of BTV Multimedia, STW will continue to act as an independent company on the market.

BTV Multimedia, a fast-growing corporate group of SMEs in the broadband industry, pools the activities of big-name international manufacturers, distributors and service providers. In addition to STW, these include ANEDiS, braun teleCom, DKT, Fionis, Holm and Pott. That makes the group one of the few full-service providers on the market. BTV Multimedia has set itself the goal of supporting its customers across Europe as a reliable leading partner with the best products and services in the industry for broadband expansion.

STW Spleisstechnik West GmbH has two sites in Tyrol, Austria, and is expanding the fibre-optic network in the Alpine region with an extensive planning and installation team. With sustainable solutions and a focus on fibre-to-the-home, the company relies on modern installation methods such as splicing, injection and measurement technology, as well as active network components.

Closing of the transaction is subject to clearance by the Austrian federal competition authority.

DBAG, a listed company, initiates closed-end private equity funds and invests alongside DBAG funds in well-positioned medium-sized companies with development potential. The capital managed and advised by the DBAG Group amounts to approximately 2.5 billion euros.

A team led by partner Holger Ebersberger previously advised BTV Multimedia Group on acquiring Fionis GmbH in September 2020. Holger frequently advises Deutsche Beteiligungs AG on transactions, most recently on its investment in Hausheld AG.
