Noerr advises Commerz Real on the acquisition of a 25% stake in the Elbtower in Hamburg

Under the leadership of Tim Behrens, our law firm advised Commerz Real on the acquisition of a 25% stake in the high-rise development "Elbtower" in Hamburg's HafenCity for the open-ended real estate fund "hausInvest" from SIGNA Real Estate.

Construction of the landmark property at Hamburg's Elbbrücken, designed by David Chipperfield Architects, is scheduled to start in early 2023, with completion expected in 2025.

The "Elbtower" will be a 245 m high mixed-use high-rise building that will be visible from afar and will meet the highest sustainability standards. In addition to publicly accessible spaces, the Elbtower will house Germany's first hotel under the "Nobu Hospitality" brand as well as modern and flexible office space for the work of tomorrow and a publicly accessible viewing platform at a height of 225 metres.
