Noerr advises Dieter Schwarz Stiftung on expansion of Technical University of Munich to Heilbronn
Noerr is advising Dieter Schwarz Stiftung gGmbH (Foundation) on the expansion of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to Heilbronn. The TUM will on the initiative of the foundation with its TUM School of Management establish its own teaching and research centre at the Heilbronn Campus. The Dieter Schwarz Foundation will in particular be permanently funding a total of 20 new professors at the TUM, 13 in Heilbronn and seven in Munich and Garching, as well as the entire infrastructure including student halls of residence.
The new TUM Heilbronn Campus will focus on the areas of digital technology management, entrepreneurship and family-owned companies. It is above all companies in the region which are to profit from this by having their young academics trained locally by the TUM School of Management and therefore by one of the strongest business research faculties in the German-speaking area.
Noerr is advising the Dieter Schwarz Foundation comprehensively with a team led by the Munich partner Gerald Reger. Besides the company, foundation, university and public law aspects of entering into cooperation partnerships, the mandate also involves advising on non-profit organisations, tax and inheritance law, as well as IP and IT law issues.
