Noerr advises EDF on series C funding round for charging infrastructure specialist ubitricity

Noerr has again advised the French energy group EDF on a series C funding round for ubitricity. Heinz Dürr Investment GmbH, EDF and Next47 (Siemens) as existing shareholders and Honda Motor Company as a new investor are jointly providing €20 million to the e-mobility specialist.

Established in Berlin in 2008, ubitricity is among the leading providers of intelligent charging and billing solutions for electric vehicles. The new money will used to speed up building charging infrastructure in Germany, the UK, France and the USA and to further develop this technology for the mass market expected to set in from 2020.

Noerr advised EDF on this funding round with a team led by Robert Korndörfer and Christoph Spiering. The Noerr team already advised EDF on its investment in ubitricity in 2014.
