Noerr advises NORD Holding on majority acquisition in IT service provider EWERK

With a team led by its Munich-based private equity partner Holger Ebersberger, Noerr has advised NORD Holding on its majority acquisition of the shares in German IT service provider EWERK. EWERK’s founders Hendrik Schubert and Dr Erik Wende continue to hold a significant interest in the company and will continue as managing directors. 

EWERK is a leading IT service provider offering a portfolio of services tailored to regulated end customers. Employing a workforce of over 200, EWERK’s services cover the entire technological life cycle: from IT project consulting, software development and design, transition management, enterprise IT outsourcing, to operating its own data centres and critical infrastructures and business process outsourcing. Its customers include businesses from the fields of energy, healthcare, mobility and the public sector. NORD Holding, EWERK’s new investor, is one of the leading private equity asset management companies, managing assets in excess of €2 billion.

The transaction is subject to clearance by the Federal Cartel Office.
