On 1 March 2017, the renowned tax law expert Dr Martin Haisch joined Noerr LLP as a partner. Haisch was previously a partner at Dechert LLP and will be strengthening Noerr’s Tax & Private Clients practice group at its Frankfurt office.

“With Martin Haisch we will be expanding our interdisciplinary advisory services for banks, insurance companies, funds and private equity companies at the Frankfurt office,” says practice group head Dr Carsten Heinz. The Munich partner Georg Edelmann is pleased that “with the addition of Martin Haisch, Noerr will be further improving its reputation in the field of interdisciplinary structuring of regulated investment products and financing and our clients will be able to benefit even more from the integrated expertise of our tax and regulatory experts and auditors.”

The new partner will be supplementing the regulatory practice of Frankfurt-based partners Dr Jens H. Kunz and Dr Torsten Fett, with whom Martin Haisch will be working closely. In the area of private equity he will cooperate mainly with Dr Georg Schneider.

In addition to his consultancy work on regulated finance products, Martin Haisch also regularly advises on M&A transactions and corporate restructuring. In these areas, Martin Haisch will collaborate with the experts from Noerr’s Corporate/M&A practice group across all offices.

“In the field of tax and regulatory advice to banks and financial service providers, Noerr’s Frankfurt office is an established player in the market,” comments Martin Haisch on his move to Noerr. “Since regulatory issues are becoming increasingly important in corporate transactions as well, I am also looking forward to the interdisciplinary collaboration with my new colleagues from the various practice groups of Noerr.”

The move of Martin Haisch to Noerr is already the second important addition for Noerr in Frankfurt in recent times. It was only last July that the financing specialist Dr Tom Beckerhoff joined the financing practice at the Frankfurt office.

The experts of Noerr’s Tax & Private Clients practice group advise on almost all national and international tax matters. Services include the development of tax structures, structuring advice and implementation, tax compliance as well as enforcement consulting. The members of the group, which is led by Dr Carsten Heinz (Berlin), work closely with the other practice groups of the firm.
